A time of reckoning. The fulfillment of a prophecy.
This is why she is here.
But will peace or tumult reign in Devor?
Once I published TGWAG, I wrote a short fable that had been dowloaded as an e-book (The Wizard's Toy) and then started writing a 4th plot that had been given to me. About half-way through the 4th book, I got a little stuck and so decided to pull out The Oracle of Devor and look at it again. I found I was much farther along than I remembered and so attempted to write through the part that had given me difficulty before.
I had no trouble writing that scene and continued on to finish the rest of the story. It took me some time to edit it once it was finished, as I wrote it from multiple viewpoints, adding to the complexity of who knew what when! Plus, there were a lot of details to keep straight in creating my imagined world where the kingdom-city of Devor is located.
Some people have asked me what kind of details I get in my downloaded plot fictions. I don’t see everything. I see the general arc of the plot. For The Oracle of Devor, I could see several scenes play out and different characters saying lines, all of which I’ve used in the book. Looking back on what I immediately wrote down after receiving the download while dreaming, I can see that I’ve changed several details in the final telling of the story. I consider it spiritual creative license!
I hope you enjoy the story! Since my next book of fiction is already half-written, I’m hoping it will be out next year!
A seer, a scryer, a waterwitch faces an unfathomable foe—a man full of fury and fire who seeks to destroy her and her adopted city, Devor. With only her tools to guide her, she journeys to save Devor and discovers her past is the secret to her present, and the future is full of dangers and surprises even this gifted soothsayer cannot foresee. Whether she is successful depends on factors beyond her control and on people she’s not sure she can trust. She is the lady-in-white, the Oracle of Devor.
“Loving it. Riveting!”
“A real page-turner. The action is non-stop! I was riveted.”
