How to Grow and Share the Light that You Are
The question for you is how much of that eternal light is shining through you? At the core, we are all infinitely and eternally bright. How much of that light comes through at a certain moment in time depends on a multitude of factors, such as how much inner work you’ve done, how in alignment with your soul purpose you are, how physically well you are, etc. Some of this you can choose. Some of this is pre-selected by your soul and you don’t have a lot of control—it really is a case-by-case. For example, it may be a soul’s design to experience a lifetime without a conscious connection to the Light. This may teach the soul all sorts of things, especially compassion for others who are not aware of their own connection to the Light. Each path is different. It is important to respect and honor all paths. Even if it is a soul’s journey in a particular lifetime to experience disconnection, the Truth is still there. They are light. Everyone is.
Sometimes, I wish everyone’s eyes would be open for just a few moments so they could see that Light that everyone and everything is. Of course, some people would dismiss what they saw, explaining it away, or shrugging it off. But a few, a lot maybe, would start to see things in themselves and in their life differently. I know. It happened to me. Once I started seeing energy and auras, well, it was down the rabbit hole and a whole lotta wonderful woo-woo from there on out. If you’ve never seen an aura, here is a recent picture of someone I know singing at her grandmother’s memorial service.
Here is another recent picture of a yogi I have done some virtual meditations with. This was taken during a meditation at a retreat this fall at Mt. Shasta that captured his form turning back into light essence.
Another person I met shined light right out of his pores. You didn’t need your third eye opened to see it. He had had a near death experience (NDE) and after coming back, he began to realize he had amazing healing abilities. There was so much light coming off his body he looked like a human light bulb!
Yet another woman, a bookstore clerk, of all things, had a huge light around her head. She was steeped in holiness. You just never know how much light some people are shining until you see it for yourself! If you’d like to practice seeing light in and around yourself, here are some steps you can take.
1. Rub your hands together fast to get the energy in them revved up.
2. Then hold up one of your hands against a white piece of paper in a mostly dark room. In the daylight but with no artificial lights works really well as does at night with candle light in the room.
3. As you stare at your hand, gently unfocus your eyes and look past your fingers/hand, not at them, kind of like when you look at a hologram.
4. As you look past them, with your eyesight gently unfocused, look at the area around your fingers/hand. You might see white light. You might see colored light. The areas around your fingers/hand might look fuzzy or blurry. Some possibilities of what it might look like are depicted below.
1. Do inner work: energy healing, spiritual direction, contemplative prayer, therapy, etc., help you get to the core of your nitty-gritty stuff that needs to be transformed. It also clears your karma and opens your intuitive channels. The more you can do at the energetic level, the faster the transformation.
2. Meditate: This helps to open up your intuition and your awareness. It isn’t the the same as inner work, though. You need both. Meditation helps you wake up. Inner work helps you grow up.
3. Eat well and exercise. As much as this doesn’t seem spiritual, it is, when you recognize that all life is sacred, and food is life and movement is life.
4. Visualize light in and around your body AND embrace your shadow/darkness and own it. Then you can do #1 to transmute it back into Light.
5. Offer your sacred gifts to the world.
6. Play and laugh a lot!
Happy Holidays! May you see your own bright light and the bright light of everyone you meet, no matter how hard they try to fool you otherwise!
