Ringing in the New

I set intentions all the time so setting some for the New Year isn’t really a unique practice for me. I never set resolutions because I’ve got a tiny, itty-bitty, rebellious micro-personality that will revolt to any rigid rule. And I should state that I distinguish between intentions and resolutions as a matter of degree. “I intend” is still strong but softer than “I resolve.” Intentions keep me open and flexible to the surprises of the Universe, whereas resolutions tend to block out the better things the Universe might have in store for me. Michael Bernard Beckwith states, “Where there’s a will, there’s a wall, but where there’s a willingness, there’s a way.” I totally agree! If you’d like to learn more about how to set intentions, here’s a previous blogpost I wrote about that.

For this New Year, my intention is simply that this is going to be a year of trying and doing new things--a lot of new things. Some people start the New Year off by selecting a new word or theme for the year which I also like. Some people choose a super-mantra for the year, so mine would be Ringing in the New—Bringing in the Fun! I’m starting with trying to make my own mascara. I might be crazy but the online bloggers swear by it. I’m going to try some new spiritual communities, new foods, new practices, new, new, new, new. I’m going to experiment and play with all sorts of things and sees what comes of it.

I’m also going to keep up a couple of new things that I tried towards the end of last year that I really liked. One of these is working with the Hara Dimension with clients. I’ve found it very effective, as it is a deeper dimension than working with meridians and chakras. Because it is deeper, it is more foundational to well-being and therefore, working directly with it and the Core Star (or Divine Spark) can bring about more significantly lasting change.

The Hara Dimension deals directly with our soul purpose—the unique reasons each of us is embodied on this earth at this time. It connects our Oversoul to our temporary Soul Seat to our Physical Body and to the Earth. Needless to say, keeping all of this aligned can be tricky for most of us. Energy work can realign and bring clarity and groundedness to keep this dimension functioning optimally, and thus bring more connection, harmony, and vibrancy to your chakras, meridians, body, and even your personality. If you’d like to have a session to work on the Hara Dimension, please message me. I’d love to share the new work! It will also be featured in my monthly mp3 meditations for the year and I’ll be leading a workshop on the topic in the Vancouver/Portland area in March.

Happy New Year! May blessings and peace reign over you and your loved ones, and may all beings be free from suffering.
