However, technically speaking, vibrations are neither good nor bad (sorry, Beach Boys)—they’re just different. However, some vibrations are optimal for healing, and others, well, let’s just say they drag you down to the pits of Mount Doom where Gollum pines for his Precious.
I was once mildly stalked and harassed on Facebook by an unknown someone for commenting somewhere that vibrational medicine was the basis of alternative energy healing. Oh well. Thank Goddess for FB’s blocking feature. But then I ran across this medical study summarized in the picture below.
However, not only matter is vibrating frequencies, our thoughts and our feelings are forces and thus, energy and vibrating frequencies, as well. And certain thoughts and feelings are optimal for shifting us into more healing and wholeness. Generally speaking, higher frequencies are more healing, though this is not a hard and fast rule: e.g., too much higher frequency at once and you’d blow out your nervous system—think lightening strike.
Focusing on healing thoughts and feelings doesn’t mean ignoring, suppressing, or denying thoughts and feelings that aren’t exactly high and holy frequencies. In fact, it’s necessary to be aware of all of your thoughts and feelings no matter where they fall on the spectrum of low to high. When you are open to being aware of thoughts and feelings that bring you down, then you can process them, so they are transformed into a higher frequency. Ignoring them or covering over them doesn’t work. This is because all our vibrations, even the ones we’re not so aware of—especially the ones we’re not so aware of—are creating synchronization and resonance. Synchronization and resonance is how the principle (not law) of attraction works: we attract what we're vibrating. (And the vibrations we are not aware of and therefore remain unprocessed are the more powerful. They’re like a huge undertow that can and will take you far away from what you want and intend. So when you become aware of a low vibrational thought or feeling, use it as a teacher and transform it so it doesn’t get the best of you!)
Synchronization and resonance is what happens when a string is plucked and another unplucked string vibrates along with it. Another form of this is entrainment—when two or more pendulums in the same room begin swinging at exactly the same rate. This has been proven to happen throughout the universe, from cells to celestial bodies. It also happens with brain waves between people who are doing nothing but sitting in the same room together. The strongest thought and feeling brain waves become the EEG pattern that entrains everyone else’s brains in the room!
Gratitude happens to be one of the healing and high frequencies—not just the attitude of gratitude, but thinking it, feeling it, speaking it, and acting on it. So set the tone that you want to vibrate at no matter who you’re with or what is happening in your life circumstances this Thanksgiving month and you won’t be entrained and sink to someone else’s low vibrational patterns. Be the one who vibrates at such a strong, high, and healing frequency that everyone else’s energy starts to vibrate with yours!
I’m grateful for you!
